BIOGRAPHY:
Mark Badick – Chief
Operating Officer
My personal
history dates back to 1986 when I began with Safety Boss. As a full term
crew chief in Kuwait, I supervised my crew to successfully control 56 of
180 wells controlled by SafetyBOSS, with zero loss time accidents.
Following that project, I graduated with an Engineering degree from
Montana Tech. Based in Red Deer, Alberta, I oversee the daily activities
of the companies operations including the supervision of fire fighting and
well control projects and the design and manufacturing of speciality
equipment. I became a partner in SafetyBOSS in September 2000.
ABSTRACT:
SafetyBOSS was founded
in 1956 by K.J. “Smokey” Miller. We have grown from a one-truck fire
company into a fleet of emergency equipment capable of controlling fires
and blowouts worldwide. Today, Safety Boss is headed by Mike Miller,
son of the company’s founder, who has been in charge of SafetyBOSS’s
services since 1979.
The company’s roots
are deep in Alberta’s oil patch but its international reputation was
forged in the fires of Kuwait following the 1991 Gulf War.
The presentation is
about how it was in Kuwait for individuals performing well control.
